In the meeting, the government of Lagos said it was ready to enforce the law earlier given trailers drivers, where they will be restricted from moving in the State from 6am to 9pm daily.

Speaking at the meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transportation, Oluseyi Whenu said that the restriction was to ensure strict enforcement of the Road Traffic Law, which, according to him, was often violated by the trailer drivers, which has caused numerous accidents. He also noted that any trailer driver who does not abide by the law will be made to pay a heavy fine.

It will be recalled that last week, a trailer fell at Ojuelegba, crushing vehicles and leading to the death of 3 persons.
