Leicester City came from a goal down to beat visiting Burnley 2-1 in Saturday’s Premier League game, to temporarily move to second spot in the league table.
Chris Wood gave Burnley the lead in the 26th minute before Jamie Vardy equalised for Leicester on the stroke of half-time.
With 16 minutes remaining in the game, Youri Tielemans scored what proved to be the winner to make it 2-1 to Leicester.
Burnley thought they have equalised minutes later but after consultation with VAR, Wood was judged to have fouled Johnny Evans in the build up to the goal.
Leicester now has 17 points in the league table after nine league games played.
At Stamford Bridge, Chelsea made it fifth straight wins in all competitions as they edged Newcastle United 1-0.
After a frustrating goalless first half, Chelsea finally found the breakthrough thanks to Marcos Alonso’ 73rd minute goal.
Chelsea are temporarily third on the log on 17 points, same point as second placed Leicester but are behind the Foxes on goals difference.
And in another Premier League game, visiting Watford forced Tottenham Hotspur to a 1-1 draw.
Abdoulaye Doucoure opened scoring for Watford after finding the back of the net in the 6th minute.
But in the 86th minute Dele Alli equalised for Spurs after a VAR check proved Harry Kane did not handled the ball with his arm in the build up to the goal.
Spurs are now seventh on 12 points while Watford, who are still looking for their first league win of the season, remain bottom on four points.
