Premier League Week 5 Update: Arsenal throw away 2 goal lead to draw Watford, Bournemouth cruise

Arsenal missed blew their chance to climb into the top four, as they threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 away to struggling Watford in Sunday’s Premier League game.

Arsenal who saw the Mesut Ozil feature in his first competitive game of the season, took the lead in the 21st minute through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who collected a pass from Sead Kolasinac before firing low into the back of the net.

Aubameyang doubled Arsenal’s lead in the 32nd minute as he tapped the ball into am empty net from Aisley Maitland-Niles’ cross.

Watford came out fighting in the second half and were rewarded as Tom Cleverly took advantage of Sokratis mistake at the back to make it 2-1.

And in the 81st minute, Watford completed the comeback as Roberto Pereyra scored from the penalty spot after a foul by David Luiz.

The draw means Arsenal are seventh on eight points while Watford remain bottom on two points.

In the early game played on Sunday, Bournemouth beat visiting Everton 3-1.
