Punch Chairman, Gbadebowale Aboderin dies at 60

The Chairman of PUNCH Nigeria Limited, Gbadebowale Aboderin has died.

According to PUNCH, Aboderin, aged 60, died on Wednesday at 6:05am after a heart surgery.

Until his demise, Aboderin was also the chairman of Punch Commercial Printing Limited and Lukahed Properties Limited.

A sports enthusiast and philanthropist, Aboderin was the founder and chairman of the Dolphins Female Basketball Foundation, and also a former chairman of the Lagos State Basketball Association.

He was a one-time vice-president of the Nigerian Basketball Supporters Club.

He attended Government College, Ibadan, Oyo state, and trained as a pilot in the US.

Aboderin is survived by his wife Titilayo and two daughters, Nicole and Cherelle.
