Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, has fired back at his daughter’s lawsuit after she accused him of trying to get rich off her image without her permission.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Fenty and his company claim they did not exploit Rihanna’s image and believe she has suffered no damages as a result of him trying to run his own business.

Earlier this year, Rihanna sued her father and his company, Fenty Entertainment, accusing them of exploiting her name without permission.

She claimed that her dad and another man named created an entertainment company with her last name and have been soliciting business acting as agents of the singer.

Ronald, who also has the last name Fenty, believes he has every right to use the name and doesn’t need his daughter’s permission on such matters. “Defendants deny that their use of “Fenty” requires authorization from Plaintiffs,” the document reads.

Rihanna’s father now wants the lawsuit dismissed right away and believes he owes his daughter no money or caused any damage.

The singer has discussed her rocky relationship with her father in the past, claiming she witnessed Ronald abusing her mom when she was a child. She told Oprah that she once witnessed her mother suffer a broken nose at the hands of her father.
