The election of, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State have been upheld by the Supreme Court.
Two appeals which was filed by, Wike was upheld by the Court, against the decision of the Appeal Court, which upturned the dismissal of the filed by the African Action Congress (AAC), and it’s governorship candidate in the Rivers State election, Awara Festus.
In two unanonimous judgements, the highest Court, upheld Gov Wike’s elections, on the ground that it had merit.
Justice Ejembi Eko delivered the judgement.
The appeals were against the Appeal Court’s decision, reversing two decisions of the Governorship Tribunal.
