Contrary to reports that Ryan Giggs has been offered a role as a bridge between the first team and the U21s at Manchester United, it is understood that he is yet to be offered a new role with Manchester United.
Recall that Giggs served as assistant manager to Louis van Gaal in the last two years, but his future at Old Trafford hangs in the balance as the club prepares to begin life under new boss, Jose Mourinho.
The United Legend, who made over 1,000 appearances for the club, is due to return from a holiday in Dubai this weekend.
It is understood Giggs has heard nothing from senior United figures as to what they want him to do, following Van Gaal’s sacking last month, with no meetings scheduled.
Giggs, who joined Manchester United on his 14th birthday, is thought to have a year left on his contract.
