The actions of the Week 26 of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign continued on Sunday with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur stealing the show by playing out a 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Top scorer Harry Kane missed a penalty but converted a second attempt to earn his side the two points and keep his lead over Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool man had momentarily tied things up in the scoring race with a brace, but Kane’s response came just a few minutes later.

Kane leads the top-scorer’s race with 22 goals, just one more than Salah. The Manchester City duo of Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling are third and fourth, respectively, with 17 and 14 goals.

Salah opened the scoring early after a defensive lapse, and the first half played out without too many other incidents. Spurs improved after the break and started to press for an equaliser, but it wasn’t until late in the contest when the drama began.

First, Victor Wanyama scored a screamer of a goal, a first-time strike that hit the net so hard it bounced straight back out. Just minutes later, the visitors were handed a controversial penalty after a foul from Loris Karius on Kane, although there were hints of offside surrounding the decision.
