At the joint 32nd, 33rd and 34th convocation ceremony, which happens to also be the 40th anniversary of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, received an honorary doctorate degree in Business Administration.
At the same even which was held on Saturday in Sokoto state, the Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwan Akiolu I, was named the 3rd Chancellor of the learning institution.
Others top dignitaries at the event included but not limited to: Senator Olamilekan Solomon from Lagos West Senatorial District, Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, House of Representatives Majority Leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the Ooni of Ife, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal.
