Two brothers remanded for beheading teenager

Two brothers Saheed and Ayodeji Obadimeji have been remanded by a Federal High Court in Lagos for allegedly killing one Joseph Makinde by cutting off his head.

The victims head was too be sold for N200,000.

Saheed 19 and Ayodeji 20, both residents of Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State. where arraigned on two count charge, conspiracy to commit murder and murder by, Justice Adebayo Akintoye, NAN reports.

Mr Tunde Sumonu, who is the State prosecutor, said the defendants and others at large had commited YHE said offence on November 27 2018,  at about 8:30 p.m in an uncompleted building in Sapati town, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State.

According to him, the defendants waylaid Makinde while on his way for an errand he was being sent by one of his neighbours.

Mr Sumonu, stated that they lured the victim into an uncompleted building and killed him.

He said that the defendants thereafter cut off Makinde’s head to sell at a price of N200,000.

Sumonu said that the offences commited contravened section 223 and 233 of the criminal Act of Lagos State, 2015.

The defendants pleaded not guilty.

The State Prosecutor, requested the court to remand the defendants in prison and for a speedy trial.

His request was granted by, Justice Akintoye and ordered the defendants be remanded in Prison.

She then adjourned the case until the 18th and 19th of November for trial.
