Candidates who would be sitting the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), can now include Computer Studies or Physical and Health Education (PHE) as part of their four UTME subjects, if they so desire or as dictated by their programme preferences.

This is made possible following the addition, by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), of the two subjects to the existing 23 UTME subjects to make the total 25 starting from the 2022 UTME exercise.

The board in its weekly bulletin released on Monday by the Director of Public Relations, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said the development is to enhance the career prospects of students transiting to tertiary institutions.
