The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, declared that Biko Haram has been defeated and the December 31st deadline given by the president was met.
He stated that the war against Biko Haram has been largely won and the military’s presence could be felt in the nooks and crannies of the state.
Mr. Mohammed said even though there were cases of bombing, it’s important to know that such is the nature of insurgency globally. He urged Nigerians to kick against terrorism in the country because kicking against terrorism is not the work of the military alone.
The minister disclosed that a National Security Campaign has started to raise awareness among Nigerians about the war, sacrifices of our troops and how to permanently sweep of the remnants of the war.
