The World Bank on Friday said that it had granted $300 million to Tanzania to support its education sector, a statement from the country’s Directorate of Presidential Communication said.

He assured Mr Magufuli of the World Bank’s continued support to Tanzania’s development projects.

The bank has a huge programme to support various development projects in Tanzania in the social sector and infrastructure to the tune of 5.2 billion dollars and the bank is impressed with the way these projects are being implemented, says Mr Ghanem.

During the talks, Mr Ghanem praised Mr Magufuli for efforts undertaken by his administration toward improving the economy and the fight against corruption.

“The World Bank is proud of its partnership with Tanzania and the good results that have been achieved in terms of economic growth and in terms of economic stability,’’ said the Word Bank official.
