Surprise cannot sufficient describe what has been experienced thus far by lover of the English Premier League. It was a slow start by the so-called big four, many thought it was temporal and that by January the table would have taken proper shape.

To leave everyone startled and perplexed, the leading team, Leicester City has continued to wax strong and the big teams have remained behind in every respect.

Take nothing away from Leicester City, they have given their all, nobody expected to be at the top of the table by the time of the season and it just feels like something special is happening to them.

Leicester manager, Claudio Ranieri has seen his team extend the lead over their nearest rivals Tottenham, five points, only nine games left. In his reaction he has said:

“We are running for something special, Every match in the Premier League is a battle. Five points is nothing.”

“The fans dream and we work, which is a good combination.” Anyone listing Leicester amongst contenders at the start of the season would definitely have been seen as a big dreamer.

He went on to say, “We want to continue to fight and now our mind is on Newcastle, which is another tough match at home.”
Whatever it is that has happened in the premier league this season and whoever wins the league at the end of the day, with the big teams slumbering, Leicester is definitely experiencing something special.
