2023: Tinubu promise to dredge Calabar port, as he consults APC delegates in Cross River

The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has vowed to dredge Calabar Port when elected Nigeria’s president.

Tinubu had made the promise in Calabar while paying a consultative visit to delegates of the All Progressives Congress in Calabar.

The former governor, also promised delegates that he will also properly rehabilitate the displaced people of Bakassi.

He told the delegates that as part of his plans for Nigeria, he will create a commodity market for the country.

He said he is a fulfilled man, who is confident of himself and believes he can turn the fortunes of the country around.

The Presidential hopeful emphasized that Asiwaju means progress, saying delegates should choose a leader that reflects the Nigeria they want.

In his remarks, former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shetimma, said the country needs a leader who can unify the country and also handle ethnic sensibilities.

He emphasised that after eight years of power in the North, justice, equity and fairness demands that power moves to the south.

He said Tinubu means well for the country and tasked delegates to do what is right for the first time.

In his vote of thanks, governor of Kano State, Ibrahim Ganduje, said though unconstitutional, he believes in zoning and the gentleman agreement.

He stressed that the APC are gentlemen and will respect the agreement on zoning because unity in diversity is a fact and reality.
