Troops of 3 Division of Nigerian Army have arrested a suspected kingpin of Boko Haram terrorists group , Alhaji Tijjani Usman Damagum, Colonel Sani Usman, Acting Director of Army Public Relations said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to him, the Boko Haram kingpin who was tracked down and arrested at Damagum town, Yobe State yesterday is a high profile member of the insurgent group who has led various attacks by the insurgent group. An AK-47 rifle was recovered from him.

He added that Damagun is undergoing interrogation and will soon be arraigned in court.
The Army spokesperson also revealed that in an offensive operation to clear Boko Haram terrorists’ enclave around Kwatarha and Torikwaptir general area of Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, a notorious Boko Haram terrorist that had been wreaking havoc among the communities was killed by Nigerian troops on Monday afternoon.
He added that four other terrorists were believed to have escapes with gunshot wounds.
