After his long absence, and the subsequent cancellation of the Federal Executive Council Meeting (FEC) last week, President Muhammadu Buhari is currently presiding over the council in Abuja. Among other matters, the council is expected to discuss the issue of the on-going strike embarked on over two weeks ago by lecturers in government-owned universities across the country.
Earlier, the president received and rewarded the victorious D’Tigress Players with N1million each and N500,000 each for their officials.

President Buhari assured the team, its managers and the Nigeria Basketball Federation of his support and that of the Federal Government to ensure that they excel against other top competitors in Spain.
The D’Tigress walloped their Senegalese counterparts 65-48 points to beat them a second time in the championship.
