On Wednesday The Supreme Court of Nigeria, delivered it’s first ruling on the appeal filed by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and it’s Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, challenging the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The panel in its short ruling, overulled their request that their seven interlocutory appeals should be heard after the main one have been argued.
The Apex Court stated that the main appeal would be binding on all others, and all the appeals consolidated on the matter.
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Mohammed, who was also the lead judge, noted that it won’t be necessary to hear the interlocutory when the judgement on the main appeal marked would suffice.
