Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, sent a message to President Buhari, saying “hell will let loose” if some high profile detainees like Dasuki, Kanu, are harmed in the detention.
He said in one of his post on his Facebook page that Colonel Sambo Dasuki, Mr Nnamdi Kanu, Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky must not be beaten, tortured, poisoned or murdered while in detention or else all hell will let loose.
Mr. Dasuki, who is facing trials for diverting $2.2billion meant for the procurement of arms needed for the anti-Boko Haram war.
Mr. Kanu, who is fueling the quest for an independent nation of Biafra.
Mr. El-Zakzaky, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, is being arrested by the police.
Buhari said in his Presidential Media chat that he can’t allow Mr. Dasuki and Mr. Nnamdi to enjoy freedom of any form because of the gravity of their offence.
He said El-Zakzaky can’t also be released because he hasn’t received any report on the enquiries being made by the Arny and the Kaduna State Government.
Mr. Fani-Kayode wrote an open letter recently to the President accusing him of making contradictory and dishonest assertions. He added that Buhari’s subjects look up to him for consistency, strength and unequivocal commitment promised during the presidential campaign and not the opposite.
