The Benue State Command of the Nigerian Police Force has said two of four policemen declared missing after cattle herders attacked their patrol van had been found.
Moses Yamu, spokesman of the command, reportedly confirmed the development.
Yamu said the officers were in “sound” state.
“Two of the men have rejoined their colleagues while the other two are being expected. They are sound.”
Yamu said no arrest has been made regarding the incident and that investigation is still ongoing.
The fully-armed cattle herders were said to have opened fire on the police team while they were returning from an assignment in some villages in Logo local government area of the state.
