Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State had sacked all his Special Assistants and Senior Special Advisers.
They comprise of 192 Special Assistants, three persons each representing each wards in the state, and 52 Senior Special Advisers, three persons representing each local government.
Obaseki later appointed 18 Special Assistants (All females in gender).
In a statement which was signed by the Secretary to the Government of Edo State, Mr Osarodion Ogie, the sack was an immediate process.
The SSG, said noted that the sack was to re-organise the governance structure of inorder to enhance efficient service delivery to the people of Edo state.
He however, told the sacked appointees to handover government properties which are in their possession.
The statement also said that fresh appointees would be announced in 30 days.
