Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Adebule, has announced her support for Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in the Lagos state All Progressives Congress governorship primary election.
In an incredible twist of event, Dr Idiat dumped support for her boss, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and has decided to throw her weight behind Sanwo-Olu in the Lagos State APC primaries.
Speaking to Newsmen on Tuesday at Ward A and D, in Iba Local Council Development Area of Lagos where she will take part in the primaries, Adebule said she would endorse the man chosen by the party.
“The party has chosen a man and it is that man who I will support and follow,” she said.
According to report by the News Agency of Nigeria, some of Adebule’s aide came with Sanwo-Olu’s posters and banners upon arrival at the ward.
NAN also reports that accreditation started at 10:36am at the ward as party electoral officials arrived and there were no formal announcement of the results as the accreditation was brief.
