Acting President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo has approved the appointment of Olukayode Pitan as the managing director of the Bank of Industry (BOI). He takes over from Waheed Olagunju who was the MD of the bank.
Osinbajo also appointed Dikko Aliyu Abdulrahman, who is the director-general (DG) of the National Pension Commission, as chairman, governing council of the bank and appointed Funso Doherty as the DG of the National Pension Commission. Doherty replaces Dikko, who only spent about a month as the head of the commission.
The acting president appointed Ali Usman as chairman of the commission.

All positions at the National Pension Commission are subject to the approval of the Senate.
With the exception of those that are subject to confirmation by the Senate, all other appointments take immediate effect, a statement signed by Chris Okeke, director (press) in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, said.
