“My men executed the search and recovered the following items from the factory: four thousand bottles of already produced, packed and labeled adulterated wine of different brands, one thousand empty bottles, drums of different sizes, various chemical and reagents used as raw materials and other tools used in the production of the wines.”
“Ughanze who is from Obosi in Anambra State, lives in building he uses for both resident and factory with his wife and four (4) children.” he said.
The suspect lamenting in the background claimed he’s yet start selling the wines as he awaits the approval of NAFDAC. He said he uses just fermented fruits for production and the wines are not harmful to the health.
The CP warns Lagosians to be wary of the consumable they buy this yuletide season as people like Ughanze may flood the market with substandard goods.
