Former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC Adams Oshiomhole, has formally declared to contest for the Presidential ticket of the party).
The former Edo Governor, declared his presidential bid on ARISE Television on Wednesday.
It could be recalled that his media aide, Victor Oshioke, had in a statement, said “The formal declaration of Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole to contest for the office of President, Federal Republic of Nigeria in the 2023 general election on the platform of the APC, which was postponed has now been rescheduled, after extensive consultations, to hold as follows: Date: Wednesday May 4th 2022.Time 3 pm Prompt.
“Venue: Cyprian Ekwensi Centre for Arts and Culture, Area 10 Abuja.”
By entering the APC presidential race, Oshiomhole will be pitted against a crowded field of contenders.
Among other aspirants for the APC Presidential race include, former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha; former Abia State Governor, Orji Kalu; Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello and Ebonyi State governor David Umahi and Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi.
