Abdullahi made this disclosure while fielding questions from State House correspondents.

It could be recalled that while Senator Lawan was battling for the APC presidential ticket, Bashir Machina was declared the winner of the Yobe North Senatorial District primary election.

However, reports had it that the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Yobe North Senatorial District has replaced the name of Bashir Machina with that of Lawan.

Bashir Machina had in reaction, insisted that he still remains the substantial candidate of the APC in the Senatorial district to the 2023 elections.

When asked how Lawan emerged as a senatorial candidate, Adamu insisted that Lawan participated within the timeline.

He said: “Don’t get yourself in the court of law. Is it that you were told they are saying it?

“I don’t have time for negativities. I don’t just have time for that. If you face me with positives, I have time for all of that. I will stand here and answer all of your questions.

“I cannot respond to every speculation, particularly when they are negative, especially when they are by mischief-makers.

“Is there any law that says when you contest an election and lost, you shouldn’t contest another one?

“Go and find out from the person who is responsible for organising the primary. I have done my bit.

“I do know, in my honour, that he did participate within the timeline,” he said.
