Tottenham Hotspur thoroughly beat Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday to mark their first away victory against the Blues since February 1990, thanks to a Dele Alli brace along with Christian Eriksen’s equalising golazo.

Alli marked his 100th Premier League appearance by completing a terrific Tottenham comeback from a goal down, where Alvaro Morata’s first Premier League goal in 96 days opened the scoring in west London.

The result leaves Chelsea in fifth, now eight points adrift of fourth-placed Spurs and with their chances of a top-four finish looking unlikely.

Elsewhere in London, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the first brace of his Arsenal career and netted for a third league match in succession as the Gunners powered to a 3-0 win over struggling Stoke City.

Aubayemang’s Premier League goal tally for the season stands at five after he scored one of two penalties converted by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, the second of which was netted by substitute Alexandre Lacazette.

For 28 years Chelsea had lauded an imperious home record over Spurs, but Alli’s intervention complemented by Eriksen’s panache clinched Mauricio Pochettino’s side a first Premier League win at Stamford Bridge.

His first was a flash of beauty, half-volleying past Hugo Lloris after touching down Eric Dier’s inch-perfect ball close to goal, while his second came at the end of a mad scramble, almost missed by Heung-min Son’s moment of greed.

But Alli’s double couldn’t divert all attention away from the hit that brought Spurs level at 1-1, when Eriksen kept up his elite level of accuracy from outside the box:

The Denmark talisman lifted a composed hammer strike over Chelsea stopper Willy Caballero and down in time to head in off the underside of the crossbar, a 35-yard effort of rare quality.

Tottenham have in the process avenged their 2-1 defeat at home to Chelsea back in August, sealing their third successive win in all contests and stretching their Premier League unbeaten run to 13 matches.

Aubameyang at the Double

Arsenal’s new-look strike force was on target in a convincing 3-0 win over Stoke, where Aubameyang’s first double for the club combined with Lacazette’s contribution off the bench led the riot.

The Potters kept the game scoreless until the 75th minute, when Bruno Martins Indi brought down Mesut Ozil in the box, giving Aubameyang the chance to fire in his first of two goals in 11 minutes.

OptaJoe showed how promising his prolific start in north London has been after the Gabon international half-volleyed home from a corner in the 86th minute:

Lacazette replaced Danny Welbeck with 30 minutes left, and Hull City midfielder David Meyler highlighted how Aubameyang showed his class after it was the Frenchman who won a 89th-minute spot-kick:

Three points wasn’t enough to move Arsenal in the table, and they’re still five points off Chelsea after their win against Spurs, and the UEFA Europa League now looks like their only route to the UEFA Champions League.
