Egyptian superstar, Mohammed Salah was again absent on the score sheet as Liverpool deservingly triumphed over Spurs at Wembley. Goals from Wijnaldum and Firmino put Liverpool ahead before a late goal from Erik Lamela made it 1:2 to the visitors.
Speaking at a post match press conference, the Liverpool manager expressed happiness that goals are coming from other sources. “That was always clear. Of course, it’s important that we don’t have only one goalscorer,” He said “It’s no problem the Egpyt star was again missing from the scoresheet as the Reds defeated Spurs at Wembley early, five games, fantastic we’ve won all of them, we have improved during that” he further said.

After a disappointing World Cup Liverpool fans held high hopes that he would continue from where he left off last season, but he has only managed 2 goals from 5 starts this season showing only flashes of his last season form that saw him named the third best player in Eurppe.
